Happy 2nd Birthday Mia Moo

It was our Goddaughters 2nd Birthday on Monday and I made her this card ...the Magnolia image is so her...I choose quite a simple design, and got to use one of my 14 Martha Stewart Border Punches that I bought back from the US with me in November.

The paper was given to my by Vickie..Thanks and the image is coloured using my new Copic Ciao's. I am still learning the art of making the image not appear flat..I surf lots of webistes and blogs and try and pick up hints and tips. I'm sure I will get there one day !

Mia-ann had two parties and as her Godparents..we got to go to both which was great fun.

Happy Christmas....and a Mojo Monday 117...

I was asked to make another card for a little boy who is 5...and she wanted it bright and fun...here is what I came up with..I have also used it for the Mojo Monday Challenge 117 for this week..

I have used another one of the CC designs given to me by my friend I just think he is so adorable. I got to play with my copics again and think that with a bit more practice I will do ok with the whole colouring thing.

I have used the My Minds Eye - Colourful Christmas range of papers and my new Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches...

for the baubles, I coloured them in, then covered them in glossy accents and a few glass bead ( Martha Stewart again) and then the lightest of sprinklings of glitter..

Thanks for looking and have a safe and Happy Christmas

A Pink Christmas

Wow, it seems like ages since I posted last, I have had a bit of a "flurry" - (see what I did there) of Christmas cards to make...and no time to make them...

Here is a card I made last night and finished at stupid o'clock this morning...

This is an image from CC Designs which was sent to me by Vicki ( thanks hun) and coloured in using my new Copic Ciao's...yes I finally have all 144 of them and covet them at the moment like a newborn child...my husband thinks I am completely mad but only us crafters know that feeling when a much sought after stash item arrives !

I used the large Martha Stewart snowflake punch and the McGill punch in the centre, plenty of glitter, Crystals and Bling and the Eskimo Kisses range of paper from Basic Grey.

I hope Emily-May likes her Christmas card from her Mummy and Daddy.

Thanks for looking

Happy Anniversary Mum..

Just a quick post to show you the card I made for my Mum to be given to her by my Dad...45 years of wedded bliss...I think that all depends on whether you ask Mum or Dad !!!!

I have used the Playful Petals range of papers from Daisy Bucket, I know they have been out forever but I still love the colours and keep coming back to them.  The Image is from Pollycraft designs .

Using wire and swarovski bi-cone beads, I have made a Dragonfly using the Bazill Tulle for the wings, I think it looks kinda cute.

More Snowy Seranade....

Hi there

Well me and Vicki had a great time at the NEC last Friday and amongst other items I aquired these two beautiful Magnolia stamps. I have to admit that the card I have just finished has to be one of my most favourites ever...I just love the colours, the image and the softness of the overall effect, I know it might seem I am blowing my own trumpet but I really do love it !

Once again I have used the Snowy Seranade range from Craft Obsessions. The snowflakes have been made with the Snowflakes 2 set of Nestabilities and also the McGill Snowflake punch.  The best part of this card is the beautiful Tilda image, I have masked her and sat her in the Snowy Circle Stamp.

Around the edge of the circle I have blinged it up by using Swarovski Crystals, Stickles, Glitter and small glitter stickers. I habe coloured her in using my Prismacolour Pencils which as of Wednesday 18th November wil be put into storage as I have finally managed to get the full 144 Copics which will be here on Wednesday  ( Secretly so excited I can't explain !)

Snowy Seranade Christmas....

Hi There

This stamp is available from Funky Kits and is called Demure..how beautiful and dainty is she.  I have used the new paper range from Bo Bunny called Snowy Seranade and is available as always from Craft Obsessions.

I have quartered the die cut sheet and then cut out the inner part and mounted it on the purple card. the same was done with the outer part and then the inner part was mounted on foam and placed so you can't see the join !

For the snowflakes I used my new McGill punch which I love. I blobbed on some glossy accents on the ends and then sprinkled with glitter..I just happened to have the same type of glitter as the paper - result ! Swarovski crystals finish the centres.

I have foam mounted the stamped image which I have coloured with my Prisma Colour Pencils, I have put some glossy accents on her dress, the flowers and the hair decoration is made by punching the pine branch and taking the very ends and tucking them under a crystal.

Our Special Boy's Birthday...

We can hardly believe that our son Connor is going to be 9 on Thursday 5th November...one day we can never forget !!

I made him a fairly simple card using the Basic Grey papers from the Marrakesh range.  I have also used the Anya stamp - Ian.

I think it's a really cool image and for those of you that know Connor..will know it's him all over.

and a close up of Ian/Connor

Until my full set of copic ciao's arrive towards the end of November( all 144 -Yippee I can't wait ) I will have to be content with using my Prisma Pencils ( which I also love)

Mojo Monday # 108 - Yeah on time this week !!

Well I have managed to get this card made and uploaded before the cut off for Mojo Monday...unlike last week !!!
The sketch for this week can be found here

Friends of mine have just had their baby 6 weeks early, sending lots of love to Catherine who is still poorly n hospital and to Mark who is running between his wife and newborn daughter Holly who is in SCIBU.  Lots of Love again xxx

I really enjoyed the sketch this week and have used the fabulous Swiss Pixie from CC designs.  The Patterned paper is Crate Paper Katlin and if you have a look back through my blog you will see I have used it loads !

I love the colour combo here and have coloured her in using Prisma Pencils and have highlighed her hair with Sakura Glitter Pen.  For a funky effect I have made "overwings" and stuck them in front of her coloured wings and hidden the join with some swarovski crystals.  I think they look really cute....here is a closer look

I have used the McGill Pine Branch punch for the leaves and a beautiful little princess charm which my buddy Vicki gave me ( thanks bud x) The flower is a pink Poinsettia from Prima and as usual I have used the sentiment using the round and scalloped Nesties.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate all your comment...

Mojo Monday # 107....Oooops, it's late !!!

Guess who didn't get this uploaded in time..Oh well, I enjoyed having a go at the sketch at least !!

The Sketch can be found here if you want to go and have a sqizz.  I have used my new stamp from lili of the valley stamps, isnt she just adorable...

I have used papers from Craftwork Cards as is the sentiment and matted the white paper onto silver Mirri card after inking with a dark blue chalk ink.  The circle and scalloped circle is from the nesties. The dark blue card is also from Craftwork Cards and has a shimmer to it so it looks really rich.

I have coloured her in using my Prismacolor pencils and for the first time I have used the Polar White flowersoft on her wings...I think it looks great.  She has red swarovski berries on her crown and a smattering of flat back pearls as well.

I have tied a piece of Bazzill Tulle around the white squares and ties in a bow and pushed two heart pearl headed pins through.

Thanks for looking  xxx

Happy 60th Birthday Rob - Sketch Saturday # 72

Hi There

Sorry for the lack of posting recently...been mega busy with work and things.  I have just finished this card for our very good friend Rob Errington who is 60 in a weeks time...If you know him....don't tell him this is on here !!!! I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday which can be found here

I have used the Marovia Collection available from Craft Obsessions and the adorable Edwin from Magnolia stamps from The Glitter Pot and is called Party Edwin.  I have used some velvet Ric Rac, Crystals, and the shooting stars were in my stash ( I never thought I would use them, but they go perfectly I think) I have coloured Edwin in usung my Prismacolour pencils as the copic pen fairy hasn't been for a visit yet !!!

and here is a sideways shot, the card has loads of depth and I think a box will be order as I don't think it will go in an envelope !!

We hope you have a fab birthday Rob...I wonder what the birthday fairy will bring ??

Sketch Saturday Sketch Number 70

Hi there

Well I have had a very busy week  including a trip to Ally Pally where I finally met the lovely Marlene and Caz..their shopping trolly's were bulging - believe me!!! girls you will always be an inspiration to me x

I finally managed to make a card this week using the Sketch Saturday Number 70 Sketch which again was a great sketch to play with....

here is is

I have used the beautiful stamp from Stampavie. called Teddy Bear, I usually go for bright colours on my cards but I thought the papers I have used called for a more subtle approach. The papers are from the Christmas Magic Range by Fancy Pants available at Craft Obsessions Here.

I have coloured the image in with my precious PrismaColor Pencils...although after having a play at Ally Pally, I can feel the need for the full 144 Copics...I can dream can't I !!! I have used masses of swarovski Crystals and glitter to accent the parcel and the tummy and paws.

The three crystals came from a length of crystal braid and I have attached them under the velvet ribbon and topped them off with three beautiful sparklers.

This gives youa good look at the layering effect which gives the card loads of depth.

Thanks for looking and leaving a message to say you stopped by..

Inky Antics - Sweety Snowman Cards - Craft Stamper !

Well a few of you will know that I am good friends with David and Brenda Rose from Craft Obsessions and whilst there a couple of months ago, David took a call from the Editor of the Craft Stamper Magazine. It was relating to the set of stamps I have used in my cards. She asked if David and Brenda would sponsor one of the prizes in the draw and David offered this set of stamps.  While he was on the phone he asked if she would like any sample cards to go with the stamps and she said YES....so guess who got to take a set of Inky Antics Stamps and a whole pile of goodies home and play !!! You can now see the article in January's Copy of Craft Stamper which is out now.

Here are the cards I made...

He is just the cutest little bloke, I have raised the top part of him on foam pads and the part that touches the ice-block I have stuck down so he looks like his arms and legs are off the ice !

The next card I made was bit more ambitious...I have used the paper piecing technique and hung my little snowman in his stocking in an aperture for maximum effect...

The papers I have used throughout are the Colorful Christmas Papers from My Minds Eye which I think go beautifully with the quirkiness of the stamps.. another couple of close ups for you -

The next card was made using a technique I found on Split Coast Stampers for a pop up card....

and is made using a folding technique which can be found Here I think it's really effective and simple to make.

Here is a side view and a rear view.

It's always nice to have a nice rear end.....!!!!!

Last but by no means least we have the triple snowman card....

The snowman is actually a single man, but because they are clear I have managed to join them up and make them look like they are holding a string of snowballs.  The rosette is made using the new Blossoms Two set of nesties. with a smattering of crystals and glitter.

Thanks for looking and I love to read your comments...

Sketch Saturday Design Team Final...WooHoo.....

OMG...what a surprise...I did it... and went and got into the final 12 for the Sketch Saturday Design Team Call. There were so many brilliant cards so I feel very honoured to be here...

Well we had to use a sketch of our choice from the last three months and I chose Sketch 64 from 15th August and it looks like this...

I rotated the image as it went better with my design.. and here is my entry....

I have used the fabulous papers from the Bo Bunny range called a gift of love. I thought the lovely autumnal colours went really well with the Tilda Magnolia image I have used. She came from the Autumn set last year and although I haven't used her a great deal, I think she is perfect with these papers.  I have also used some twill tape in a burnt Orange, some turquoise satin ribbon and of course the Prima flowers which I have tripled up with a pearl in the centre..he top layer is made of a very fine gauze which you can hardly see.. here is a close up, I hope you can see how pretty they are...

I have coloured Tilda using my Prismacolor Pencils which after using for nearly a year now adore using....her is a close up of Tilda holding her Autumn Harvest...have you spotted the tiny bow in her hair...

Well I have done ,y best...now it's for the powers that be to decide...good luck everyone...

I have used the palyful petals range of papers by Daisy Bucket, lots of cranberry red cardstock and polka dot sheer ribbon.  The stamp is one of the Gorguss Girls available from Funky Kits and I think she is just so cute...who knows what she has behind her back !! The pearls are Basic Grey and the sentiment is Stampin Up.
Here is a close up...
