Sketch Saturday Sketch Number 70

Hi there

Well I have had a very busy week  including a trip to Ally Pally where I finally met the lovely Marlene and Caz..their shopping trolly's were bulging - believe me!!! girls you will always be an inspiration to me x

I finally managed to make a card this week using the Sketch Saturday Number 70 Sketch which again was a great sketch to play with....

here is is

I have used the beautiful stamp from Stampavie. called Teddy Bear, I usually go for bright colours on my cards but I thought the papers I have used called for a more subtle approach. The papers are from the Christmas Magic Range by Fancy Pants available at Craft Obsessions Here.

I have coloured the image in with my precious PrismaColor Pencils...although after having a play at Ally Pally, I can feel the need for the full 144 Copics...I can dream can't I !!! I have used masses of swarovski Crystals and glitter to accent the parcel and the tummy and paws.

The three crystals came from a length of crystal braid and I have attached them under the velvet ribbon and topped them off with three beautiful sparklers.

This gives youa good look at the layering effect which gives the card loads of depth.

Thanks for looking and leaving a message to say you stopped by..

Inky Antics - Sweety Snowman Cards - Craft Stamper !

Well a few of you will know that I am good friends with David and Brenda Rose from Craft Obsessions and whilst there a couple of months ago, David took a call from the Editor of the Craft Stamper Magazine. It was relating to the set of stamps I have used in my cards. She asked if David and Brenda would sponsor one of the prizes in the draw and David offered this set of stamps.  While he was on the phone he asked if she would like any sample cards to go with the stamps and she said YES....so guess who got to take a set of Inky Antics Stamps and a whole pile of goodies home and play !!! You can now see the article in January's Copy of Craft Stamper which is out now.

Here are the cards I made...

He is just the cutest little bloke, I have raised the top part of him on foam pads and the part that touches the ice-block I have stuck down so he looks like his arms and legs are off the ice !

The next card I made was bit more ambitious...I have used the paper piecing technique and hung my little snowman in his stocking in an aperture for maximum effect...

The papers I have used throughout are the Colorful Christmas Papers from My Minds Eye which I think go beautifully with the quirkiness of the stamps.. another couple of close ups for you -

The next card was made using a technique I found on Split Coast Stampers for a pop up card....

and is made using a folding technique which can be found Here I think it's really effective and simple to make.

Here is a side view and a rear view.

It's always nice to have a nice rear end.....!!!!!

Last but by no means least we have the triple snowman card....

The snowman is actually a single man, but because they are clear I have managed to join them up and make them look like they are holding a string of snowballs.  The rosette is made using the new Blossoms Two set of nesties. with a smattering of crystals and glitter.

Thanks for looking and I love to read your comments...

Sketch Saturday Design Team Final...WooHoo.....

OMG...what a surprise...I did it... and went and got into the final 12 for the Sketch Saturday Design Team Call. There were so many brilliant cards so I feel very honoured to be here...

Well we had to use a sketch of our choice from the last three months and I chose Sketch 64 from 15th August and it looks like this...

I rotated the image as it went better with my design.. and here is my entry....

I have used the fabulous papers from the Bo Bunny range called a gift of love. I thought the lovely autumnal colours went really well with the Tilda Magnolia image I have used. She came from the Autumn set last year and although I haven't used her a great deal, I think she is perfect with these papers.  I have also used some twill tape in a burnt Orange, some turquoise satin ribbon and of course the Prima flowers which I have tripled up with a pearl in the centre..he top layer is made of a very fine gauze which you can hardly see.. here is a close up, I hope you can see how pretty they are...

I have coloured Tilda using my Prismacolor Pencils which after using for nearly a year now adore using....her is a close up of Tilda holding her Autumn Harvest...have you spotted the tiny bow in her hair...

Well I have done ,y best...now it's for the powers that be to decide...good luck everyone...

Another Sketch Saturday Card....

Well I liked the Design Team sketch so much that I had another go...I know I can only enter one..which I am happy about, but as I made two, I figured I may as well upload it and let you all have a squizz !!
here she is...
I have used the palyful petals range of papers by Daisy Bucket, lots of cranberry red cardstock and polka dot sheer ribbon.  The stamp is one of the Gorguss Girls available from Funky Kits and I think she is just so cute...who knows what she has behind her back !! The pearls are Basic Grey and the sentiment is Stampin Up.
Here is a close up...
and a close up of the cutie..
I love reading yor comments..it make me go all warm and fuzzy inside...Thanks for looking

Sketch Saturday Design Team Call....

Well here goes, I have never entered a design team call before, but as I try and do the Sketch Saturday challenge as much as I can, I decided to give it a go...

The link to the challenge can be found here and the I really enjoyed this sketch ..

Here is my card...

The image I have used is a CC design one called Gretell and I think she is delicious, I have coloured her using my PrismaColor Pencils as usual.  The fabby papers are believe it or not, the new Christmas range from My Minds Eye which I got from Craft Obsessions along with the loopy braid and the Martha Stewart Heart Punch. The sentiment is SU as is the scalloped border punch and the tulle underneath is Bazzil. I have stickled her wings and added flat backed pearls.
Here is a close up of the card..
and a close up of Miss Gretell
Thanks for looking and I love to read you comments...

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 18

Hi There...

I hope you have all had a fab summer...and for those of you with children due to go back to school tomorrow....Peace at Last !!!   I love the sketch for this challenge which can be found here and as part of the challenge we have been asked to use buttons...

I have used one of the gorgeous Manga Girls stamps available here at the brilliant home of Sugar Nellie - Funky Kits.    Here is my card..

I have gone almost monochrome with the card...I have used the Nantucket range of papers from Craft Obsessions and a very royal purple card to co-ordinate with. I have also made some bigger blooms by layering the hydrangea flowers and adding the all important buttons in the centre.
White lace and a strip made using the doily lace punch from Martha Stewart were used to finish of the design..oh and of course some flat back pearls and pearl headed pins. I have left of the message and I am not sure at the moment who will be getting this little lovely in the post.
Here is a close up of her
and a picture to show the depth of the card.
Thanks for looking and I love to read your messages...

Friday Sketchers Challenge Number 68

Well I have had a go at the Friday Sketchers Challenge 68 which can be found here and the image looks like this

and here is what I came up with...
I have used Crate Paper - Katlin range again which I adore...I have used the adorable Tilda and Edwin stamps which came from the Spring kit and coloured them using my prismacolour pencils. The butterflies have been decoupaged and have a stickles glaze over them...very twinkly ! I have also used a couple of pieces of cream lace and of course the obligatory swarovski crystals !!

and another pic showing the decoupage elements better.  I have curled some wire and made her antenna and popped a crystal on the end of each one for that added sparkle.

Thanks for looking and I love to read your comments....bye for now...Jo XXX
